Retrenchment Or Redundancy
The prospect and implications of redundancy are far reaching in our community.
In early May 2009 St Peter’s Anglican Church East Lindfield hosted an evening at the Lindfield East Public School to address this issue.
Discussion topics included:
- Digesting and adapting to change
- Building a plan that gets you back on track
- Job search techniques & networking
- We also explored how we can provide useful on-going support through the professional resources, experience and expertise of our local St Peter’s community.
The evening was led by:
- Ms Rose Clements: Human Resources Director, Microsoft.
- Mr Steve Mitchell: Managing Director, Ripe Consulting Solutions.
In response to the discussion we ran 24 workshops, assisted by 33 leaders, met with 39 participants, 50% of whom we know secured jobs. The final workshop finished on 29 April 2010.
“I praise God for wonderful way that so many people answered the call to serve in this way”, said Bruce Goldingay, the leader of the programme.
We thank the team for the concerted effort to bring God’s love to the people in need.
