News from Synod 2009

Last week (and this week), Rev Steve Layson, Stephen Humphrys & Bruce York attended the annual Synod for the Sydney Diocese. Here are some of the highlights:
- We heard a very inspiring address from the Archbishop (which can be downloaded from “Sydneyanglicans.net”) encouraging us to be faithful and prayerful in the midst of a world that seems to be going haywire
- We were greatly encouraged to hear about the way God has been at work throughout Sydney through the “Connect 09” campaign
- Those responsible for the large financial losses arising through the GFC apologized for their part in it & plans were made for improved financial management for the future
