Happy Anniversary

Everyone loves a good birthday or anniversary celebration. Sometimes it’s the only time you can get the whole family together at one time. At times like this, extended family members will come together from far away to join the festivities. It’s lovely to be able to catch up with how everyone’s going, to celebrate victories and to commiserate with losses.
Well, today is just such a day. It’s a day when the whole St Peters family can come together to rejoice in the things that bind us. In today’s service we will be focusing on just those things. We will be celebrating our love for God who made us, rescued us & called us to be part of this special family; we will be thanking God for the love and support we have received from one another; and we will be praying for those who are taking the love of Christ into our world, both locally and overseas.
It’s exciting to have members of all four congregations together in one place. Even though we are very different, having different service styles, musical selections & even “dress-codes”, we all have the same Lord and Saviour; we have the same standing before God & the same desire to see His kingdom grow and His name honoured.
Let me say thank you to all those who have made St Peters what it is today. For those who have travelled to join us today, we want to welcome you back & say thanks for joining us. For those who lead, pray, teach, read, visit, play instruments, sing, prepare meals, arrange flowers, clean, give, listen, share & much more – thank you.
Let’s join together to thank God for all he’s done among us over the past 59 years & pray that He would continue to be with us and to bless our ministry over the next 59, and beyond.
