Hi From Spore

How are you? here is the belated update note. I meant to write earlier but just too busy in one way or another, not sure busy with what but time just flew by fast. Pray that all your loved ones are well.

We are well settle once again in Singapore. I supposed living in own apartment do help the settling part, now I can have my own designed kitchen with enough working space, hang my pictures etc. In many ways, I do enjoy Spore…family, familiarity, clean, safe and very convenient with transport and not to mention the many eateries, friendly butcher who chop and skin “my” chicken and meat to my preferred sized pieces. The only set back is the unbearable hot weather.

I am also working as part time real estate, more of a hobby than bringing “bacon to the family”. My business partner and I are both home makers, we take it easy, only do properties for friends and relatives. That is enough to satisfy us. Personally I do not want to tie down or get too busy with my work, let Kim Lam does the hard part and I just need a little mind teasers and add some life experiences and varieties to lives. Anyway, I have always been interested in looking at houses and the interior design, so bringing people to view/buy/sell houses and at the same time collect some pocket money, not a life that I can complain.

Kim Lam’s current company was bot over back in April 2009, hence his job too has to come to an end this March. Thank god for the great provision, he has found one back in December 2009 but the new employer is willing to wait and let him start in April so that he won’t miss out his tiny payout. The new company is another US pharmaceutical/ medical company. This job will also involve a fair bit of travels but such is working life in Singapore. Good thing is he think that he will travel to Sydney more often, so can visit Danielson more. Anyway, Kim Lam still prefers the Asian working scene and of course the tax rate. Pray for his new job.

Boys are slowly settling in AISS but they still miss the life style in Sydney. Somehow, like me, they like certain part of the life style in Sydney, especially the local school cultures and local community and the church youth group. But we just have to be grateful for whatever the Almighty has so generously given to us and get on with it wisely. Dan is having exam now, poor him still suffers severe allergy to the pollen and dust mite and even the medication is useless on him. If you do come across any new medication for nose allergy, plse recommend them to me/him. Keep him in your prayer: good health, focus energy and good time management.

Ok, need to do more cleaning and mopping. Take care and keep in touch. See you in April holiday?

x Meepoh

Meepoh and Kim Lam LAW were members of 9.45am congregation. They returned to Singapore with their younger sons in January 2009. Daniel, their eldest son, remains in Australia to continue with his study.
