We are Somebodies

Back in 1944 there was a circus fire in the USA. Hundreds died. In time, all bodies were identifed apart from one young girl aged about six. Since she was unscarred by the fire, her photo was circulated across the nation in the hope that someone somewhere would identify her. Yet no-one ever came forward to claim her. She was burried as an unknown stranger and became known as Little Miss Nobody.
How sad that such a person was so utterly unknown. Each of us wants to be known and loved, valued for who we are. Praise God this is no idle dream but a reality. The God who made each of us lavishes love on each of us. He knows us by name. To him, Little Miss Nobdy was a somebody. To him, we are all somebodies.
